Question: Random Characters
while sending HTML mails?
I have a trial version of QKSMTP Server that a friend gave
me. For US$35, we don't mind paying at all because it is quite
a good product.
However, we seem to notice one particular problem. When we
send plain text emails, there is no problem. But when we send
HTML emails, there is always ONE random character deleted
from the e-mail. Sometimes, it is part of the body text. And
sometimes, it is an HTML tag.
So for example, one time, I send email with schedules. What
was supposed to be 12:00pm became 2:00pm. Another time, one
character of the HTML tag was removed (the < opening tag)
so the e-mail was messed up.
Is this a bug or something in the trial version?
Could you advise so I can decide if I will purchase QKSMTP
Server or continue searching for something else.
Thank and regards,
David
Answer:
QK can be used to send any kinds of format of mails. It has
no relation with what format of mails you've sent. Maybe it
is the reason of your mail server?

Question: Random Characters
while sending HTML mails?
Thanks for your quick reply. You are right. The problem is
not with QK SMTP. However, we would like to share this information
with you that maybe can help you answer future support questions.
We are using PHP's mail() function to send the e-mail using
QK SMTP as the SMTP server. It works perfectly but for ever
1,024 characters (more or less), 1 character is dropped. So,
if the email is less than 1,024 characters, nothing is lost.
But if it is > 1,024 characters, one character is dropped
for every 1,024 characters. We are still researching the solution.
If we find out, we will also advise you.

Answer:
It is really a hot potato for you. I've told our programmers
your problem. They said they would try to find a way to solve
it. And let's keep in touch with each other. If we find a
way, we will give you a note.
